Okra co-developed the Pocket London walking and cycle guides in collaboration with Open City and graphic designer Vangeli Moscopoulos. The guides are self-guided editions of walking and cycling tours produced for charity Open City and celebrate London’s rich architectural and cultural history by connecting its built environment to its social and political history.

To date, Okra co-founders Aidan Hall and Roz Peebles have researched, developed and written 4 Pocket London guides, focussing on twentieth century housing. West, North and South London Pocket London Guides celebrate the legacies of high quality public housing by local authorities including Camden, Lambeth, Westminster and the London County Council, built at the height of the age of social democracy in Britain. Rotherhithe looks ahead to the vast 80s redevelopment of the former Surrey Docks, led by the LDDC, which would usher in a new milieu under Thatcher and reflected the failed experiment of the home owning democracy.
